Please note that this is an Open Team List Premier event, and as such Team Lists will be collected and verified during the registration process. Please provide yourself with enough time to complete and submit your team list before registration closes.

Registration Opens: 2:00 PM
Registration Ends: 2:50 PM
Gameplay Begins: 3:00 PM
Entry: $14
Prize Support/Structure: 1 Booster Pack per entrant per division into the prize pool; 1st Place in each division will also receive a $10 Nintendo eShop Gift Card
(Distribution of prize is at the discretion of the manager on duty)
Tournament Format: Best of 3, VG Regulation G, Open Team List
Tournament Structure: Swiss-style tournament with the number of rounds and top cut based on player attendance.
Please keep the following in mind as you prepare –
THIS PREMIER CHALLENGE IS USING THE REGULATION G RULESET; Teams must have between four and six Pokémon. All Pokémon on your team must have one of the following Pokédex numbers (Paldea Pokédex: #001-400, Kitakami Pokédex: #001-200, Blueberry Pokédex: #001-242). Team members cannot share a Pokédex number. Each Pokémon must have a unique item. Terastallizing is permitted. During each game players will select four Pokémon from their Battle Team to battle with.
There are a small subset of Pokemon not listed above that can also be included. Certain Pokemon are restricted (generally Legendaries) to only one on your team. Please refer to the following link for details on the restricted list, the specific Pokemon not native to Paldea that are otherwise permitted and the Regulation G Rule Set overall:

THERE IS NO PRE-REGISTRATION; arrive early the day of the event and register in-store. Staff will be on-hand to direct and facilitate your registration. Bring your Play! Pokemon ID with you as this will be required to play (if you need one, we can issue you a new one on-site)
TEAM LISTS ARE REQUIRED AND WILL BE COLLECTED DURING REGISTRATION; This tournament is played with open team lists: you will be able to see information about your opponent’s team during each match, except specific stats(i.e. HP, Attack, Speed, etc).
You will be required to turn in a 2-page Pokémon Video Game Team List to complete the registration process. While we will have blank team lists available, we STRONGLY recommend printing and filling out your list in advance. ALL PLAYERS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING;
1 console from the Nintendo Switch family of consoles (players are responsible keeping their system charged for the duration of the tournament and for bringing an AC adapter that is compatible with their system)
A copy of Pokémon Scarlet or Violet, updated to the most recent version
An active Nintendo Switch Online membership (paid)
A team of 4-6 legal Pokémon as described above placed in a Battle Box
A completed 2-page Pokémon Video Game Team List
RULES QUESTIONS: At any point in the game, a player may call a judge for assistance. The judge will not be able to issue you any advice about the game state or what decisions you should make.
TRADING: While trading is fine, please note that buying/selling items with anyone other than Cool Stuff Games staff (or soliciting to do so elsewhere) is against both our rules and the law. Doing so may result in both the buyer and the seller being removed from the property, both being permanently banned from returning and/or the police being notified.
Cool Stuff Games also reserves the right to limit the amount of space being occupied by any one individual while trading, and does not allow the use of suitcases, handcarts, luggage carts, etc. to be used for the purpose of transporting excessive amounts of trade stock.
CODE OF CONDUCT:
All food & drink must be kept off the tables except for where signage says otherwise.
Horseplay, roughhousing, rude/disrespectful/discourteous behavior, and foul language are not permitted.
Report any lost or unattended item(s) to a Cool Stuff Games staff member.
